- Silicone and 304 stainless are safe bets. Both have passed almost every test we have run. Thin plastic has not.
- Check food-contact claims. Look for “food grade” or “BPA free” in the listing; if it is missing, treat the item as a non-food tool.
- Measure your drawer and sink. Dimensions are in cm on most listings. A caddy that is 2 cm too wide is a caddy you return.
- Buy the set, not the single. Lids, spoons, and mats are cheaper per piece as a set and help you reach the $25 free-shipping line.
What to skip
- Knives. Edge quality at Haul prices has been poor across the board.
- Non-stick pans. Coating thickness is unknown and shipping damage is common.
- Electric kitchen gadgets. No safety marks, no warranty.
