- Check regular Amazon first. At $8 to $10, the identical item is sometimes the same price on regular Amazon with Prime shipping. If so, buy it there.
- Organizers and storage are the sweet spot. Bulky, low-risk, and cheap to ship in bulk; Haul beats regular Amazon by 30 to 50 percent on most of them.
- Read the material line. “ABS plastic” and “304 stainless” listings have held up for us; “alloy” and unspecified plastic have not.

What to skip
- Power banks and chargers. Without a recognizable brand and safety marks, we do not test or recommend them at any price.
- Shoes. Sizing has been inconsistent across every pair we have ordered; returns are free but the two-week wait makes it pointless.
- Anything described as “same as [brand name]”. It is not, and the listing may disappear.
